Our Planet earth has lot of amazing and stunning places. Some are natural and others man made. These places are a must visit and they make us dumbfounded. We are listing a few in this post.

1. Helmcken Falls, Canada

A winter visit is worthwhile because the ice cone at the base often grows to 50 m tall and sometimes even higher in very cold snowy winters. It has occasionally been seen reaching halfway up the falls. The best time to view the ice cone is from late January to the end of February. The cone collapses inward sometime during March and some remnants are still visible in June. The road is ploughed and sanded in winter and volunteers maintain the trails. Snow tires are essential and tire chains are recommended as a safety precaution. A network of groomed and tracked cross-country ski trails starts near Dawson Falls.

2. Mt.Roraima, Venezuela

Mount Roraima, Venezuela

Mount Roraima is the highest of the Pakaraima Chain of Tepui Plateau in South America. The tabletop mountains of the park are considered some of the oldest geological formations on Earth. From Paraitepui, most hikers take two days to reach the base of the mountain, and then another day to follow “La Rampa,” a natural staircase-like path, up to the top. Another two days are typically needed for the return, and many people spend one day and night on top of the mountain, making six days in total. There are many examples of unique fauna atop Mount Roraima.

3. Danxia land form, China

Danxia landform

This is a unique geological phenomenon known as Danxia land form. These phenomena can be observed in several places in south east China. This example is located in Zhangye, Province of Gansu. The color is the result of an accumulation for millions of years of red sandstone and other rocks. As the landform gets older, valleys widen and one gets isolated towers and ridges.  Danxia lanform are formed from red standstone and conglomerates and are characterised by steep cliff which are caused by uplift, weathering and erosion.

These marble caves are beautiful vibrant blue caverns, partially submerged in the equally stunning turquoise waters of Carrera Lake. The lake is on the border of Argentina and Chile, with the caves located on the Chilean side. The caves are comprised of three main caverns: the Chapel (La Capilla), the Cathedral (El Catedral), and the Cave (La Cueva). Visitors to the caves can explore them in a small boat or kayak, but only when Carrera Lake’s waters are calm and gentle. A rare and invaluable natural wonder, the existence of these caves is currently threatened by plans to build five large dams in the area.

5. Antelope Canyon, Arizona

Antelope Canyon is located near Page, Arizona and is a popular place for photographers. It’s a unique slot canyon, a narrow canyon formed usually by water eroding the the rock away, that is quite beautiful. This is a good spot to get some great pictures, but make sure you time it right if you are trying to catch a chance to photograph the beams of light coming through the cracks. Summer months for the upper canyon are ideal for getting the best beams while the early morning or late afternoon are better for photographing the lower canyon.
